Intergenerational Learning and Service

What does it mean to be an intergenerational church community? It means everyone of every age at every stage of physical, emotional, or spiritual development is invited to participate and be present together to learn and to serve as one.

At First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan, we do this with the belief and understanding that we can all learn, grow, and – just as importantly – experience joy together as a community in unique ways when we cross the boundaries of age.

Our flagship intergenerational program is Wednesdays at the Well. Wednesdays at the Well is a mid-week evening gathering for inter-generational fellowship and learning. We meet the third Wednesday of each month in the Common Room to learn, eat, sing, and deepen our faith together. Dinner is provided and all are welcome!

Service and outreach in the community and beyond is another important element to practicing our faith, modeling discipleship, and having fun together. We invite the generations to be of service together.

If you have any questions about Wednesdays at the Well or ways that we can work together to cross the boundaries of age, please contact Stephanie Hare, Director of Family Ministries: stephanie@fpcnc.org.
