More about Erik Rabasca:
Erik Rabasca is a musician, producer, singer/songwriter and founder of the independent label Highest Frequency Records. His debut solo album, New Scrolls, debuted at #9 on NACC/MMD radio charts in June, charting on national Americana Music Association album radio rankings for 12+ weeks and landed in the top 30 for July on the Relix/Jambands album charts. The Big Takeover says “Erik Rabasca is a master of finding that sweet spot between familiarity and freshness, “New Scrolls” being all the proof needed. Echoing icons such as John Prine, Townes Van Zandt and even his Bobness himself, a torch is being passed where quality songwriting is front and center. New Scrolls is an album that runs the roots-rock gamut. Brilliantly. This is an album, and indeed, Erik Rabasca is an artist that you need in your life.” Reviewers from The Big Takeover, Earmilk, VENTS and many more praise the album for its depth of artistry, songwriting and production and performances.
As a soloist, Rabasca fuses a wide range of styles -from folk, jazz and indie to reggae and country- in creating something uniquely his own. He has toured the country, performed internationally, opened for Grammy-winners Jon Batiste, SOJA and Mike Farris, Easy Star All Stars and reggae legends The Meditations, Culture, Sugar Minott, and more and has collaborated with dub legend Mad Professor. He leads or co-leads a number of projects (Strike Generation, Lions Gate, Human Tribes Collective, and more) since founding his label in 2016.
