“Let there be love: A Valentine’s Day Concert” featuring the Margi Gianquinto Trio

We are delighted to host the Margi Gianquinto Trio here at FPC as part of our FPC Facebook Thursday Concerts on Thursday, February 11th at 6 o’clock in the evening on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/FPCNC.

This year’s Valentine’s Day concert is brought to you by the Margi Gianquinto Trio, featuring Margi Gianquinto (vocals), John Merrill (guitar), and Yoshi Waki (upright bass).  A singer of the Golden Age of Song, Margi Gianquinto has built a reputation for authenticity and excellence on the New York jazz scene since 2012. Her sultry style, which many describe as “vintage” and “transportive,” is reminiscent of an earlier era when those marvelous big band singers and gifted vocalists sang the music of Berlin, Gershwin, Porter, Arlen, and Rodgers & Hart. In November of 2018, she played to a sold-out room at Birdland Jazz Club in her self created, directed, and performed a tribute to the great Jo Stafford. In June 2017 she made her debut at Midsummer Night Swing at Lincoln Center (Ballroom) and at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Margi has and has given performances at Mezzrow Jazz Club, The Metropolitan Room, The Jalopy Theater, The New York Swing Dance Society, Mohonk Mountain House, and other venues in and around NYC.
