On this day of Epiphany, when we should be celebrating the revealing of God’s love for all people in Jesus, we are sadly witnessing the Herodian threats and mob violence erupting in our nation’s capital. We join with all people of good faith to pray for our country this night, and for the demonstrators and insurrectionists in Washington D.C. to be brought under control by the authorized police and National Guard as peacefully as possible. Please pray that the curfew will restore order and that our legislators will safely be able to move forward transitioning to the newly elected government with civility and decorum. Thank you.
