Save the Date You may not be able to go home again, as the saying goes, but you can always come back to church. No matter how far you have traveled from home this summer, not matter how many services of worship you have missed, we welcome you back with open arms on Sun., Sept. 8, for Rally Day Sunday.  Come join Rev. Carol Howard Merritt, our bridge pastor, for worship and lots of fun festivities outside following the postlude. Invite your neighbors and friends, and those members whom you haven’t seen in a while. The Theme for Rally Day is: Like a Tree Planted by Streams of Water. Following worship, there will be food and fellowship, games for the children, face painting and rides on “Old Faithful,” an ice cream sundae bar.  Session members will be present with information on the mission and ministries of the church and work of the church committees. You will have the opportunity to sign up to serve the church in a variety of ways and be able to sign-up for church programming – Bible study, youth & children’s programs, choir, music lessons, and more! It is a wonderful way to begin the fall school and program year by making your way home to worship, home to church.
