A new season of New Canaan Chamber Music starts on Friday, October 21 with an all-piano celebration of America, featuring music by George Gershwin (Rhapsody in Blue), Samuel Barber and Julia Perry. Pieces by Schubert and Ravel will complete the evening. Celebrated pianists Andrew Armstrong and Orion Weiss will perform solos, piano duets, and “four hands” pieces in which both musicians play on one piano. Founder and Artistic Director of NCCM, Andy has built an enthusiastic following with six previous concerts at the church. Guest artist Orion Weiss has been cited by the New York Times as a “brilliant pianist”.”
