Friday, October 14, 7:30pm – Classic Whiffenpoofs will bring us an evening of music. The 13-14 men who comprise the Classic Whiffenpoofs graduated from Yale in the years 1962-’72. Now in their tenth year, they have performed before audiences in Philadelphia, Washington DC, Cape Cod, New Haven, Boston, and the Lake George region of upper New York State. Drawing on traditional songs within the Whiff repertoire, the Classics remain serious about singing, rehearse diligently, and thoroughly enjoy the old songs in contemporary and challenging arrangements. After sharing songs with a high school choral ensemble in New Haven, the Whiffenpoofs received these comments from their director: “Words cannot express my deepest appreciation for your “Classic Whiffenpoof” performance. It means a lot to me that my students get every opportunity to see their art at its finest, and you all were fabulous!”
