Church: It’s Not Just for Breakfast Anymore!

Earlier this week, Lisa Gifford, our elder of adult education, sent the following note to her fellow elders and to the deacons, encouraging them to give our Eventide service a try:

If you have not attended a 5 p.m. Eventide worship service, FOMO [fear of missing out] should be setting in. There are only two more left. I know Mother’s Day may be a hard draw for some, but the last service will be on May 19. Words fail to describe the service or the sense of calm it provides as one heads into the week. As elder of adult education, I promise this service will enhance your biblical literacy and spiritual knowledge quest.

So, take Lisa’s advice and join us in the chapel area THIS Sunday, May 12, at 5 p.m. for this informal, inter-generational, and experiential worship service. Because it will be Mother’s Day, Associated Pastor Rev. Kibbie Laird will offer several stories about the Gifts of Women in the history of First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan, and, as companion pieces, Interim Pastor Rev. Michael Piazza will share stories of great women in the Bible.
